Impact, special achievements & commitmentsEN / FR

Touton is a leading agro-industrial actor. Its know-how builds on over 170 years’ experience of providing its customers with high quality commodities and services.
In addition to delivering responsibly-sourced coffee (as well as cocoa, vanilla and other natural ingredients), Touton is now increasing its engagement in commodity-producing countries through processing operations in coffee and cocoa.
Touton is dedicated to upholding its shareholders' commitment to sustainability. Building on its strong footing in the countries that produce the commodities it trades and processes and going beyond certification, the company is pioneering inclusive programmes that address the needs of stakeholders all along the supply-chain.
Touton partners with actors from the public, private and civil society sectors to develop innovative projects that support the business-case for sustainable commodity production.
By doing so, Touton contributes to the preservation of resources for future generations and to reinforce individual and institutional capacities of the stakeholders it engages with.

In recent years, it has promoted the Fair For Life Standard to a number of its producer partners in Asia, South America and Central America. To foster strong long-term relationships and for the benefit of all stakeholders,it has supported these producers to improve their practices in compliance with the FFL standard.

With the support of a committed roaster, it has facilitated the distribution of more than USD$20,000 in premium funds in the first year of its relationship with BEO.
In 2018, the premium funds were used to support the financing of a medical clinic ‘CLINICA FUNDACION MANOS AMIGAS’ which benefits its cooperative members and the local community.

In 2019, Touton is delighted to support its long-term partner in Madagascar, NaturaVanilla, to reach FFL certification for vanilla.
